The Ashenfelter 8K Classic (A8K) is a United States Track & Field-NJ
Championship Road Race which is open to everyone... walkers, joggers,
runners and racers. The race is produced by the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation. This traditional Thanksgiving Day running event will be held on Thursday, November 22, 2012. The 8K (4.97 miles) will begin at 9:00 AM and the One Mile Ridger Romp will begin @ 8:15.

To date, the Ashenfelter 8K Classic has raised over $100K. Since 2005 the main beneficiary has been The Glen Ridge Educational Foundation, a not for profit 501(c)3 organization.
Donate your old or un-used athletic shoes to soles4souls. Collection boxes will be available at Fleet Feet Sports, Murdoch Shoes, and at the A8K Registration.

Race Day Registration and Pre-Registered Race Packet Pick-up will be at the Glen Ridge High School, 200 Ridgewood Avenue, on Wednesday, Nov. 21nd from 5-8 P.M. and Race Day beginning at 7:00 A.M.. T-Shirts are limited to the first 2,200 pre-registered runners.
Sizing is on a first come, first serve basis.
RACE PACKET PICK-UP
Race packets can be picked up beginning 5
PM Wednesday evening, or if you prefer 7:00 AM Thursday morning at the Glen
Ridge High School's Gymnasium. Please try to get there early.
POST RACE BREAKFAST AND AWARDS CEREMONY
The post race breakfast will be held in the High School Gymnasium, where runners will be able to stay warm and dry pre and post race. The post race awards ceremony will be held in the gymnasium.

Long sleeve, New Balance (A8K Classic embroidered) high-end tech running tops to the top three male and female runners in each age group.
Commemorative A8K Classic Coffee Mugs to the top 100 male and top 100 female finishers.
USATF-NJ PRIZE MONEY: TOP 3 MALE AND FEMALE FINISHERS IN THE OPEN CATEGORY & TOP 3 MALE AND FEMALE FINISHERS IN THE AGE GRADED MASTERS CATEGORY (NO DUPLICATES).
