The Ashenfelter 8K Classic (A8K) is a United States Track & Field-NJ
Championship Road Race which is open to everyone... walkers, joggers,
runners and racers. The race is produced by the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation. This traditional Thanksgiving Day running event will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2008. The 8K (4.97 miles) will begin at 9:00 AM and the One Mile Ridger Romp will begin @ 8:30.

To date, the Ashenfelter 8K Classic has raised over $85K. Since 2005 the main beneficiary has been The Glen Ridge Educational Foundation, a not for profit 501(c)3 organization.
RACE PACKET PICK-UP
Race packets can be picked up beginning 6 PM Wednesday evening, or if you prefer 7:30 AM Thursday morning at the Glen Ridge High School’s Gymnasium. Please try to get there early.
POST RACE BREAKFAST AND AWARDS CEREMONY
The post race breakfast will be held in the High School Gymnasium, where runners will be able to stay warm and dry pre and post race. The post race awards ceremony will be held in the gymnasium.
